Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Variko Inc. (“Variko,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the Crush mobile application and any related websites or services (collectively, the “Service”). Crush is a conversation-analysis tool that helps you understand your dating interactions. Your privacy is fundamental to how the Service is built.
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide
- Account and profile data: name (or chosen display name), age, gender, and dating preferences you enter during setup.
- Conversation content: screenshots, pasted text, or written summaries of conversations you choose to submit for analysis.
- Goals and context: any optional context about your dating goals or the specific situation you'd like analyzed.
- In-app messages: messages you send to the in-app AI assistant.
- Support communications: emails or messages you send us, including any attachments.
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and technical data: device model, operating system version, language, time zone, and crash diagnostics.
- Usage data: screens viewed, features used, session length, and other interaction events used in aggregate to improve the Service.
- Subscription data: a record of your purchase status (active / inactive). Payment is processed by Apple; we do not receive your payment card details.
1.3 What we do not collect
- We do not collect your contacts, calendar, location, photos other than the ones you explicitly select to upload, microphone, or health data.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. See Section 8.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To analyze submitted conversations and generate the read, patterns, advice, and reply suggestions that are the core of the Service.
- To personalize the Service to your stated profile and preferences.
- To operate, maintain, debug, and improve the Service (using aggregated or de-identified data where possible).
- To process subscriptions and verify entitlement to paid features.
- To respond to your support requests and other communications you initiate.
- To comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud or abuse, and enforce our Terms.
We do not use your conversation content to train AI models. Your conversations are yours.
3. How Your Data Is Processed
- AI-only processing. No Variko employee or contractor reads your conversation screenshots, pasted text, or in-app chat content. Analysis is performed automatically by third-party AI models under contracts that prohibit further use of the content.
- Immediate deletion of raw content. Screenshots and pasted conversation text are deleted from our servers as soon as your analysis is generated. Generated results are stored on your device.
- Encryption in transit. All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS.
- Access controls. Server-side data is protected by access controls and logged for security review.
4. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only as follows:
- AI processing providers (for example, large language model providers) process submitted content solely to return analysis results. They are contractually prohibited from using the content for their own purposes or for model training.
- Cloud infrastructure providers host our servers and databases under strict data protection terms.
- Analytics and crash reporting providers process anonymized or de-identified usage data so we can fix bugs and improve features.
- Apple processes subscription payments and provides us with the receipt necessary to verify your entitlement.
- Legal disclosures. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or property.
- Business transfers. If Variko is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to the confidentiality protections described here.
5. Data Retention
- Conversation uploads: deleted from our servers immediately after analysis.
- Generated analysis results: stored on your device. If you delete the app, local results are deleted with it.
- Account and profile data: retained while your account is active and for a limited period thereafter to comply with legal, accounting, and security obligations.
- Diagnostic and usage logs: retained in aggregated or de-identified form for a limited period for security and product improvement.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights with respect to your personal information:
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your account and associated data.
- Portability: request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection / restriction: object to or restrict certain uses of your data.
- Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@decodecrush.com from the email address associated with your account. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. California, EEA/UK, and Other Regional Notices
California (CCPA/CPRA). In the previous twelve months, we have collected the categories of personal information described in Section 1 for the purposes described in Section 2. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. California residents may exercise the rights described in Section 6.
EEA / UK. Our legal bases for processing are: (i) performance of a contract with you, (ii) our legitimate interests in operating, improving, and securing the Service, (iii) compliance with legal obligations, and (iv) your consent, where required. The data controller is Variko Inc., at the address listed below.
International transfers. Variko is based in the United States, and some service providers may process data in other jurisdictions. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (including standard contractual clauses) for international transfers.
8. Children
The Service is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may contain links to third-party sites or integrate with third-party services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you within the app or by other reasonable means before the changes take effect. The “Effective date” at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
